WHAT IS AN APPRENTICE?
An apprentice is a worker who learns a skilled trade through planned, supervised, on-the-job training, related classroom instruction and hands-on training. An apprentice is a regular part of the workforce and earns wages while acquiring important skills. The length of our apprenticeship is 2 years; 4000 hours of on-the-job training; with a minimum of 288 instructional hours. At the completion of our program, an apprentice becomes a journeyman, fully qualified to work & excel as a professional roofer in an industry where skill, integrity, & commitment is rewarded with higher salaries.
Roofing leads the construction business in terms of wages in the entire nation, with a median wage of $21.34 per hour. This high wage is one of the reasons why roofing is such a lucrative skilled trade to learn. We are Roofers’ Apprenticeship, and we educate-train & certify American workers in employment careers that pay a living wage. Our Apprenticeship program is thoroughly planned and supervised; we provide on-the-job training, related classroom instructions, and hands-on training. The term of our Apprentice training is 2 years. An apprentice who is enrolled with us receives at least 4000 hours of on-the-job training, with a minimum of 228 instructional hours. After completing the training, the apprentice becomes a Journeyman, fully qualified to work & excel as a professional roofer in an industry where skill, integrity, and commitment are rewarded with high salaries.

Employers must pay $14.00 an hour; the average pay in Houston is between $15.50-$20.00 an hour.

B101 Apprentice Receive Program Support that includes: Career Counseling; Job Search & Placement Assistance
Current and Consistent Classroom & On Site Roofer Training: Access to Manufacturer Certification; Supplies & Success Resources from all Partners: Texas Workforce Solutions, Lee College Baytown Texas, Apprentice Board of Contractors & Manufacturers.
Requirements:
You must be 18 years old:
You may be 16 with parents written approval.
This job requires travel to the job site and class training
You must be a US citizen or documented to work in the US
You must be able to lift 100 lbs. You must Speak English
Drivers license/State ID or SCHOOL ID
A high school diploma is not required.
16 year old require transcript /report card/Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
·DD-214 (if prior military experience) Selective Service Registration (if male)
Roofer Apprentice receive paid on -the- job training. The base pay is $14.00.
The term of the apprenticeship is 2 years with an OJL attainment of 4,000 hours, supplemented by the minimum required 288 hours of related instruction.
The apprentices shall be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on either a percentage or a dollar amount of the current hourly journeyworker wage rate, which is: $18.00.

1st 2,000 hours = $14.00 2nd 2,000 Hours $16.00
Every applicant selected for apprenticeship will serve a probationary period of 1,000 hours.
The minimum age for enrollment is 18, but we also enroll 16 years old with written permission from their parents. The enrollee must be an American Citizen or should at least be documented to work in the USA. In addition, they should speak English fluently and must be fit enough to lift 100 lbs.
In this training, the apprentices learn to master the skills of roofing with the guidance of expert professionals and learn the safety protocols and procedures that should be followed to avoid any damage to a person or property while working. The apprentices are taught and are made to experience all the meticulous details of both kinds of roofing, i.e., residential and commercial.
